Wearable Technologies of the Future
This is a must-attend event for businesses and individuals who want to develop new products and services for healthy longevity.
Join the Internet of Caring Things team and guests for a morning of hands-on activities, networking with experts, and inspirational talks about the latest wearable technologies and innovations.
- Can wearable devices support wellness, health, or fun activities across all ages?
- What are the leading-edge technologies that businesses could leverage to create these opportunities?
The workshop will enable businesses in the North of Tyne region (Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland) to understand the opportunities within the Internet of Caring Things program and the potential for partnering with the ‘Caring Things’ supply chain.
We are also offering an optional opportunity for 1:2:1 discussions with experts from the program and partner organizations.
We are open to all businesses located in the North of Tyne region. We particularly welcome new to-program businesses looking to develop new products and services to support better wellness and healthy longevity.
Internet of Caring Things
The Internet of Caring Things is a network of connected devices and services with a clear mission: to care for people actively – their physical and mental well-being – and what matters to them – such as leisure, safety and security, pets, planet, sustainability and connecting with family and friends.
This event is brought to you by Ageing Intelligence® and the Internet of Caring Things program as part of the U.K. National Innovation Centre Ageing (NICA).
Your data will be stored securely in line with regulations set out under GDPR. Registration data may be shared with essential program and event partners or the funder for the IoT program and evaluation.

About Ageing Intelligence® and the Internet of Caring Things program
A 5.6 million pound project running through to 2027, the Ageing Intelligence® and the Internet of Caring Things program is delivered by U.K. National Innovation Centre Ageing (NICA), VOICE® and Centre of Process Innovation (CPI) to support economic growth and improve the health and wellbeing of those living and working in the North of Tyne. Together we are developing the first network of connected objects and cognitive systems with a clear mission: to care for people and what matters to them actively.
This project is part-funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority and Newcastle University in partnership with the Centre of Process Innovation (CPI).
The North of Tyne Combined Authority is a partnership of three local authorities: Newcastle City Council, North Tyneside Council, Northumberland County Council, and the North of Tyne Elected Mayor.
